Every file has a name that means nothing.

How it works

How Tidy Haus organizes your digital life

Most people find us after the same quiet thought: someone should just do this for me. Not teach them another system. Not send them a course. Do it.

That is what Tidy Haus does. We organize your computer, your inbox, your photos, and your cloud storage over a Zoom screen share, while you watch it happen. You don't do the clicking. We do. And nothing leaves your machine.

Here is exactly what that looks like, start to finish, so there are no surprises before you book.

What happens on the first call

The first call is free, runs about fifteen minutes, and no one touches your files. You tell us what's weighing on you — the desktop you can't look at, the inbox you gave up on, the photos scattered across three devices — and we tell you plainly what we'd tackle first and what it costs. The first two hours are a flat $280. When you're ready, we book a time. That's it. No screen sharing, no pressure, no obligation to continue.

What a working session looks like

This is where Tidy Haus works differently from everyone else. Most digital organizers coach: they guide you while you do the clicking. We do the work while you watch.

A session runs over Zoom. You share your screen, and with your permission we go one folder at a time. We open a file, read it, give it a name you'll actually find later, and put it where it belongs — live, while you watch every move. You can say stop at any point and we stop. Most people tense up at the start and relax about twenty minutes in, once they see it's just steady, careful work and they aren't doing it alone.

How we decide where things go

There's a simple method behind every choice, and it's built so you never have to memorize it. Three rules: names that say what a file actually is — the year, then the thing, so Scan (1) becomes 2024 Federal Return. Folders that match how you think, broad on the outside and specific as you go in — Taxes, then the year, then the document. And one home for each thing, so no file lives in two places.

When it's done, you don't recall our system — you just look where it makes sense, and it's there. It's a structure you keep using long after the session ends. You also walk away with a cheat sheet of your folders and naming rules, and a recording of every session — part of our NeverLost system, so you're never left guessing.

Drag the handle — watch a real file list go from chaos to order.

What we can and can't see

The biggest worry people have is letting a stranger onto their computer. So here is exactly how access works, and every line of it is in our published Terms.

We never take your files. They never leave your machine — we're granted access to your screen over Zoom, the same as turning your laptop toward a friend, and you can end the session in one click at any second. We never delete anything: when something looks like junk, it goes into a folder marked To Be Deleted that you review later, on your own time, so you make the final call. And everyone who does this work is vetted, tested, and certified before they ever see a screen. You are Tidy Haus's customer, and your privacy is the whole job.

What you're left with

When the session ends, you have a desktop you're not embarrassed by, folders that make sense, and files with real names. The thing people notice first is that they can find anything — type two words, and last year's tax return is there in two seconds, no digging.

Nothing was deleted; everything set aside is waiting in one folder for you to review. And the system stays yours. You keep using it long after the call is over.

Common questions

What does a digital organizer actually do?

At Tidy Haus, we do the organizing for you. Over a Zoom screen share, we rename your files, build folders that make sense, and file everything where you'll find it — while you watch. Most organizers only coach you through doing it yourself. We do the work.

How does remote digital organizing work?

You share your screen over Zoom and we organize your computer live, one folder at a time, with your permission. Your files stay on your machine the entire time. You watch every change and can stop whenever you want.

Is it safe to let someone access my computer remotely?

Yes, because it isn't remote control — it's a screen share. We see your screen the way a friend would if you turned your laptop toward them. Your files never leave your computer, nothing is deleted, and you can end the session in one click at any moment.

Do you delete anything?

No. Anything that looks like junk goes into a folder marked "To Be Deleted" that you review on your own time. You make the final decision on every file.

Can someone organize my photos remotely?

Yes. Photos, your computer files, your inbox, and your cloud storage can all be organized the same way — live, over a screen share, while you watch.

How much does it cost to have someone organize my computer?

The first two hours are a flat $280, and the first call — about fifteen minutes to talk through what you need — is free.

What if I want to stop partway through?

You can end any session instantly, one click, no questions. We only work with your permission, and only on what you're comfortable with.
