How to open what was shared with you
Three steps, the first time. After that, your browser goes straight to your files.

Each person gets their own link. A forwarded email opens nothing without the code.

We email the code to the address the files were shared with. It works for ten minutes. Your browser is then remembered for 30 days.

Every share sent to your address, from anyone, is on one page. View any file in your browser, and download it if the sender allows. Cloud files open in their own cloud.

A ShareHaus link always opens the latest version of what was shared, never an old copy.

ShareHaus keeps an up-to-date copy of each shared file, so the link works even when the sender's computer is asleep or away. When they change the file, the new version takes the old one's place. The page always says how fresh it is.

Files in a cloud
The file stays where it is, in the sender's Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Box, and ShareHaus keeps no copy. If the sender later moves to another cloud with Tidy Haus, the same link opens the file in its new home. Nobody needs a new link.

Open ShareHaus from your dashboard, drop in files or folders from your computer or your clouds, add the people, and press Share. Each person gets one email for the whole share.
- Can view or Can edit. With Can view, people see the files in their browser. With Can edit, they can also download a copy.
- Always the latest version. Change a shared file on your computer and the people get the new version. Nothing waits for your computer to be on.
- Your shares move with you. When Tidy Haus moves your files to another cloud, every link you sent keeps working.
- Stop sharing any time. Access ends at once, and your own files are never touched.
Questions
Do I need a Tidy Haus account?
No. You need only the email address the files were shared with. There is no app to install and no password to remember.
Why do I need a code?
The link proves the email reached you. The code proves it is you reading that inbox. That way a forwarded email, or a link someone else copies, opens nothing.
Is this the latest version of the file?
Yes. A file from a computer opens from the last version the sender's computer sent, and the page says when that was. A file in a cloud opens the file itself, in that cloud.
Can I download the files?
If the sender chose Can edit, yes. If they chose Can view, you can see the files in your browser but not download them.
Can I have these files in a folder on my computer?
That is coming. On your ShareHaus page, press Tell me when it is ready, and we will let you know.
How long will the link work?
Until the sender stops sharing. If the sender's Tidy Haus plan ends, files from their computer stay available for 30 days.
Something looks wrong. How do I report a file?
Every ShareHaus page and email has Report a file, and every report goes to a person at Tidy Haus.
What does Tidy Haus keep about me?
Your email address, what was shared with it, when you open or download a file (which the sender can see), and one cookie for 30 days. There are no advertising trackers, and your address is never sold or listed. Files are encrypted on our servers. They are not end-to-end encrypted, because the page has to show them to you.
